Compensation range: AU$3,500 - AU$4,200/month

Our client is a dynamic web design and digital marketing agency based in Manly, Australia. They specialise in creating engaging, lead-generating websites and delivering comprehensive digital marketing solutions to help businesses thrive online. Their team comprises SEO specialists, web designers, paid media experts, and content creators, all committed to delivering exceptional results for their clients.

About the role
We are seeking a talented Front-End Developer with a keen eye for design to join our client's team. This role focuses on building visually appealing, user-friendly websites using WordPress, Elementor, and Shopify, with an emphasis on front-end development. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of PHP and experience with React to enhance the interactivity of their web projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive WordPress websites using Elementor and Shopify, ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices.
• Collaborate with designers and other developers to implement custom themes and templates that align with client requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Shopify’s Liquid templating language.
• Integrate front-end components with back-end services and APIs.
• Optimise websites for performance, scalability, and SEO best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues and bugs promptly.
• Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers.
• Collaborate with designers using Figma to bring clean, pixel-perfect UI/UX to life.
• Potentially engage in client-facing technical discussions to clarify requirements. 
• Participate in improving team workflows using tools like Asana, GTM, and GA4.
• Stay updated with the latest web development trends and technologies to continuously improve development processes.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of front-end development experience with strong WordPress/Shopify skills.
  
• Highly proficient in Elementor, Bricks, Breakdance, and Shopify builds (Liquid).
  
• Strong eye for design and detail; ability to turn Figma files into clean, responsive layouts.
• Agency experience is highly preferred – you know how to juggle multiple projects and hit deadlines.
• Proficiency with technical SEO, page speed optimization, and accessibility best practices.
• Experience with React or modern JS frameworks is a plus.
• A self-driven and accountable work ethic – someone who takes initiative and is comfortable working independently.
• Bonus: Experience mentoring or reviewing code for junior developers.
