Compensation range: AU$4,000-AU$4,500/month

About the role
We’re looking for a Paid Media Lead to lead strategy and performance across Meta and Google Ads campaigns. You’ll focus heavily on Meta execution, while strategically overseeing a team of two Google Ads specialists. This is a high-impact leadership role, ideal for someone with strong agency experience, holistic channel expertise, and an eye for creative strategy, CRO, and optimisation.
You’ll be working primarily with lead generation clients, overseeing campaign strategy across different accounts. Day-to-day, you’ll manage Meta campaigns directly for clients, while steering broader paid media strategy and performance across the rest of the portfolio. While your focus will be behind the scenes supporting Account Managers, there’s also room to take the lead on 1 to 2 client accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Own and execute end-to-end Meta campaigns, including copywriting, testing, optimisation, and briefing creatives.
- Provide strategic oversight for Google Ads by guiding the internal team, reviewing outputs, and ensuring quality.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to turn client briefs into campaign strategy, creative direction, and landing page recommendations.
- Act as the paid media strategist across a portfolio of clients, ensuring strong alignment between execution and business goals.
- Attend client calls to explain strategy, present insights, or troubleshoot challenges with the internal team.
- Conduct discovery and competitor research to inform campaign planning.
- Guide landing page and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) improvements by suggesting structure, messaging flow, and Call to Action (CTAs).
- Support Looker Studio reporting by updating Meta performance data and drawing out strategic insights.
- Segment and analyse campaign data to uncover opportunities and trends.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure campaign needs are supported by design, dev, and copy.
- Contribute to daily huddles and collaborate closely with internal Account Managers.
- Be the go-to person for paid media internally.
- Model strong communication, initiative, and problem-solving across the team.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of paid media experience focused on both Meta and Google Ads strategy and optimisation.
- Agency background is mandatory; in-house only experience will not be considered.
- Hands-on expertise with Meta Ads, including full campaign builds, testing, and performance improvement.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads structure, targeting, and campaign review.
- Experience running lead generation and eCommerce campaigns.
- Confidently translating briefs into campaign direction, creative messaging, and landing page flow.
- Comfortable briefing creatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Skilled at interpreting data and using it to shape performance strategy.
- Exceptional time management and prioritisation skills across multiple accounts.
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to join client calls and explain strategy or insights.
- Commercially minded and process-driven.
- Proficiency in the following: Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Looker Studio.
