In your day-to-day, you will:

• Take client requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs) and turn them into practical AI and software solutions.

• Analyse business problems and independently determine the best technical approach to solve them.

• Build working prototypes and foundational solutions that can later be productionised by the client's senior technology partner.

• Develop AI-powered workflows that automate repetitive business processes.

• Integrate different software, platforms, databases and APIs so they can work together seamlessly.

• Build and work across the front-end, back-end, databases and dashboards as required by each project.

• Work with AI tools and LLMs such as ChatGPT and Claude to develop and improve solutions.

• Use automation platforms and technologies such as Zapier, n8n, MCP and browser automation where appropriate.

• Work with existing business software, including systems that may have limited or no APIs, and find practical ways to connect or automate them.

• Research new technologies and approaches when a project requires something outside your existing toolkit.

• Test solutions, troubleshoot issues and continuously improve functionality.

• Document workflows, technical decisions, changes and processes clearly for handover.

• Build solutions with reusability in mind, so successful workflows can potentially be adapted, repackaged or white-labelled for other clients in the same industry.

• Collaborate with Elliot and the wider consulting team to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Work closely with the client's senior technology partner when solutions are ready for productionisation.

• Be highly responsive and communicate clearly throughout projects, particularly when requirements or priorities change.

• Take ownership of projects from initial problem-solving through to a working prototype and handover.

Skills you have:

• At least 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering, preferably strong exposure to building AI-powered applications, automations or workflows.

• Strong understanding of LLMs and practical experience using tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.

• Experience building AI automation solutions for businesses or professional services companies.

• Experience integrating software systems through APIs and other integration methods.

• Experience with databases and back-end development.

• Experience with front-end development and building functional dashboards or interfaces.

• Experience with automation tools such as Zapier, n8n or similar platforms.

• Experience with AI agents, AI skills, MCP servers or advanced AI workflows.

• Experience using browser automation to connect or automate systems.

• Comfortable working with MCP, browser automation or similar technologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently research and find solutions.

• Able to take a business requirement and determine what needs to be built without requiring step-by-step technical instructions.

• Comfortable working with different technologies and adapting to different client systems rather than being restricted to one tech stack.

• Strong attention to detail, testing and documentation.

• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and communicate clearly with US-based stakeholders.

• Strong sense of ownership, integrity and accountability.

• Able to work independently while still collaborating effectively with the wider team.

• Comfortable working on multiple types of projects and adapting as client requirements evolve.

• Highly responsive, reliable and proactive in a fast-moving startup environment.

Skills that will make you stand out:

• Experience in an AI consultancy, software agency or early-stage startup environment.

• Experience taking prototypes through to production or working alongside a production engineering team.

• Experience working with legacy software or systems with limited API access.

• Strong interest in growing into a senior technical or technical leadership role over time.
