About our client

As their inventory operations continue to grow, they’re looking for an Inventory Operations Coordinator to provide hands-on support across inventory operations, buying, and logistics.
This isn't a traditional buying role. Inventory & Backorder Operations
Manage high-volume backorders, keeping information accurate and up to date while identifying items requiring supplier follow-up, further investigation, or buyer action.
Identify products that are cancelled, discontinued, unavailable, or no longer expected to return, and update the relevant systems accordingly.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and reliable inventory information across internal systems.
Supplier & Purchasing Support
Communicate with suppliers through shared buying and supplier inboxes, sending product, stock, backorder, and availability lists and proactively following up on outstanding information and actions.
Request and reconcile supplier stock-on-hand reports against internal data.
Track outstanding stock and identify items with overdue or uncertain ETAs for supplier follow-up.
Chase stock credits and credit requests to ensure outstanding items are resolved.
Escalate issues to the appropriate buyer or team member when a decision, supplier follow-up, or intervention is required.
Data & Reconciliation
Work through high-volume spreadsheets and large product lists, filtering, sorting, grouping, reconciling, and consolidating information.
Merge supplier responses and accurately update internal records and systems.
Identify discrepancies, missing information, and patterns that require attention, investigation, or follow-up.
Develop efficient routines and processes to manage recurring, high-volume operational tasks.
Buyer & Team Support
Provide buyers and relevant team members with organised, filtered information on issues requiring their attention or decision.
Follow up internally on outstanding actions and ensure tasks don't stall.
Coordinate across Inventory Operations, Logistics, Buying, and other relevant teams.
Support continuous improvement by identifying ways to make recurring processes more efficient and reliable.
Skills you have:
5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, inventory operations, purchasing/procurement, order management, or a similar operational coordination environment.
Experience working with stock availability, purchase orders, backorders, supplier ETAs, or inventory data is highly advantageous.
Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills, with confidence working through high-volume data and spreadsheets.
Exceptional attention to detail, with a highly methodical approach to managing and reconciling high-volume information and identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies.
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage high volumes of work without losing accuracy or dropping tasks.
Excellent written English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proactive and persistent, with the ability to work independently, take ownership, follow up on outstanding actions, close loops, and escalate issues or decisions when needed.
Comfortable working across multiple spreadsheets, emails, systems, and tasks simultaneously.
A continuous-improvement mindset and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
Skills that will make you stand out:
Experience in eCommerce, retail, wholesale, or other high-volume product environments.
Experience reconciling information between different systems, suppliers, or data sources.
A strong ability to bring structure to messy or ambiguous workflows and progressively take on more responsibility as you learn.
A roll-up-your-sleeves mentality — you're comfortable getting into the detail, working through the list, and doing what needs to be done.
Confidence proactively following up with stakeholders and respectfully pushing for answers or action when needed.
Experience identifying process improvements and creating repeatable systems or routines that help teams operate more efficiently.
